The Promise Band Road Show is making another appearance in Morris County next week. Former Rock ‘n’ Roll High School for Adults participants bring live music, dancing and music participation activities to families in the Family Promise of Morris County program. Learn more.
The Second Story Sessions are underway. We’re rehearsing now for Make Music Somerville on June 21st. Classes are ongoing Mondays from 4:45-6:15. This pay as you go class is for anybody who wants to make music on a weekly basis and periodically perform for an audience. We make music primarily with our voices, kazoos, and percussion instruments – no experience necessary. This program is a recognized Goods and Service in the Self-Directed Programs of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD).
Learn to Play the Ukulele – the Winter 2018 FREE 8 week winter class at the Somerville Public Library is complete. Stay tuned for information about the Summer 2018 class.
Do you already play the ukulele? Join the Somerville Ukulele Experience every first and third Monday of the month. 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. in Somerville. $5 drop in fee. Contact Becca for more information and to get on the email list.
We’re also making music at The ARC Morris County, with the Seniors in Somerville and at other locations in Somerset County. If you’d like to bring an interactive music making program to your location, contact John Fitzpatrick and he’ll work with you to develop a specialized program for your group.
Make Music Somerville‘s inaugural year was lovely. Plan to join us on June 21st for the 2018 Make Music Day celebration – an international day of music making! Check out this article about our celebration.
