What’s On

CHP will be at the Somerset County Senior Wellness Center in Bridgewater for Music for Wellness: A Trip Around the World on May 6 and 15 at 10:45 a.m. These are practice sessions for participants who want to learn songs from around the globe. Participants will perform their songs for others on May 30.  To learn about additional Somerset County Senior Wellness Center programs in May check out this TAP article.

The Promise Band of The Coffeehouse Project (Dave, John and Becca) will be performing from 11:15-noon at Chatham’s Fishawack festival on the Lum Stage. We’d love to see you there!

We’ve been making music with the kids of Manville and Bound Brook in partnership with the Manville Recreation Department (for Manville middle schoolers) and Middle Earth (for Bound Brook elementary schoolers). Recently, they recorded a ukulele, percussion and vocal version of Marshmello’s Happier.

The Second Story Sessions are ongoing. The Second Story Band most recently performed during the Coffee House program of the Somerset County Therapeutic Recreation Department.

We’ve also been making music at The Arc locations in Morris, Somerset and Essex Counties and with seniors in Somerset County. If you’d like to bring an interactive music making program to your location, contact John Fitzpatrick and he’ll work with you to develop a specialized program for your group.

Please note that the Somerville Ukulele Experience is on hiatus for the foreseeable future.
